Hawbaker Charity Golf Outing

Loyalsock Foundation Receives $25,000

Thanks to the generosity and dedication of its employees, event sponsors, and volunteers, Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. (GOH) raised over $100,000 through its annual Charity Golf Outing, benefiting four nonprofit organizations across five Pennsylvania counties: Loyalsock Foundation (Sullivan), the Hyner Lodge Foundation (Clinton), Juniata Valley YMCA (Mifflin), and Scenic Rivers YMCA (Clarion and Venango). Donations were distributed to each organization on August 12.

This year’s event, held on July 20 at the Penn State Golf Courses in State College, was attended by 260 golfers and 50 volunteers who helped facilitate various activities throughout the day. In addition, GOH had the privilege of welcoming several special guests. At the start of the event, Cassandra Bryant of Tyrone, PA performed the National Anthem, during which the American flag was presented by the Penn State Naval ROTC Color Guard. Also present were Penn State Wrestling head coach Cael Sanderson and NIL director Clay Steadman, both of whom spoke during the close of the day’s activities.

“These groups make a positive impact every day in the communities they serve,” stated Patrick Hawbaker, executive vice president of construction. “We are happy to support these organizations.” Since the Charity Golf Outing’s debut in 1993, GOH has donated more than $1.9 million to over 75 nonprofits across the state, proudly supporting each of their missions to create change and enrich the lives of those around them.

Loyalsock Foundation is appreciative of the generosity shown by GOH and the Charity Golf Outing in supporting The Summit: Center for Wellness.
